About Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration

The College has maintained a steady progress along with the march of time. It is a co-education institution functioning as a full day time college. After 1965 an Evening Section was introduced which was later shifted to the Morning section. The Evening Section had a vocational course for teaching typewriting and stenography but this was closed after 1996.The College also had ‘Plus Two’ course in commerce but it was discontinued after 1996.

 

 

Objectives

 

i) To provide learning facilities to girls and boys of high calibre for pursuing careers in accounting, finance and management or becoming entrepreneurs, teachers, and researchers in different fields.

ii) To promote knowledge through research both applied and conceptual relevant to accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and management, and to disseminate such knowledge through seminar, conference and publications.

 

College Sections


The College has two sections: Morning and Day. Both the sections of the college are co-educational. Morning classes are held between 6.45 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. Day classes are held from 11.15 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. on weekdays and 11.15 a.m. to 2.15 p.m. on Saturdays. M. Com. classes are held from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. After admission change of section from Day to Morning or vice versa is not permitted.
