Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, an institution nurturing its dream to become the pioneer in the field of commerce and management education since 1955, has at last been successful to start the technical management education course in the form of M.B.A. in the Current Academic Session. This century old institution has already proved its worth in the field of commerce education both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and developed its own brand name in this field. The term ‘business administration’ has been associated to the name of this college since the day of its re-naming in 1955 and all through these years it has been revealing the dream of its planners.
The 105 years old college running directly under the control of the Government of West Bengal has arrived at a milestone on obtaining the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the introduction of M.B.A. Course from the Academic Session 2010 – 11. The necessary affiliation of the University of Calcutta and the permission of the Government of West Bengal for this M.B.A. Course were obtained in the last academic session.
Introduction of this four-semester M.B.A. Course not only signifies the beginning of a new journey for this institution it has also bestowed upon a new challenge to the existing high quality teaching learning resources of this government college to prove their worth.
Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration is now the first Government run general degree college in West Bengal having the approval of the AICTE for running a full-fledged technical management education course along with non-technical undergraduate and postgraduate courses in commerce in an integrated campus. |

The M.B.A. Course of this college is going to be the very low cost course in the State of West Bengal.
